Caron Learned

For over 20 years, Caron has showcased her work in group and solo exhibitions, and in 2016, Caron completed her largest Public Art Commission, designing 2 permanent three-dimensional, 10-foot, fine art mosaics in the main terminal of the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

Growing up fishing with her dad in Minnesota, and then later, living in California near the ocean, Caron’s work has been greatly influenced by water, movement, and light.

Caron's focus in the past decade has been art that is centered on wellness, healing, dealing with grief, and the discovery of the love that remains.

For Caron, art is about connection, and she believes that creativity is what makes us truly whole so that we can create better lives and better communities.

Caron received her Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Pepperdine University, and has studied mosaics at The Chicago Mosaic School, The Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic

Arts in Helena, Montana, Studio Art Center International (SACI) in Florence, Italy, and the Orsoni School in Venice, Italy.

Caron is a current professional member of the Society of American Mosaic Artists(SAMA), Howard County Arts Council, Chesapeake Arts Center, The Handmade Tile Association, and the Chicago Mosaic School.
