Art Jacobs has accumulated over 30 years of teaching experience across community colleges and regional art institutions. A Juried Member of the Pastel Society of America and a Signature Member of the Degas Pastel Society, Art is celebrated for his mastery of light, deep value contrast, and accessible, collaborative teaching style.

His classical foundation includes private studio training in figurative drawing under master artist John Thamm, who mentored Bob Ross. Art’s dynamic creative range spans winning a nationwide call for art—featuring his custom textile designs on HSN’s 40th anniversary broadcast—to commissioned jazz icon portraits and fine art on permanent display at the historic Fox Theatre. In the classroom, Art excels at demystifying complex techniques and guiding students of all skill levels to discover their personal artistic voice.
