community art event & fundraiser on July 12, 13 & 14

WHAT: ART WATCH Art Works is a unique and vibrant community art event and fundraiser featuring live art demonstrations by over 50 local and professional artists. For three days, the White Bear Center for the Arts (WBCA) will be transformed into temporary “art studios” where artists working in various media will create original works of art – live! The public is invited to watch the artists create masterpieces, meet the artists, observe techniques, get inspired to create art, and learn about opportunities to create art of their own through WBCA classes and special events.

The grand finale of ART WATCH is an Art Auction Gala (tickets required) of the Art Works created by the artists earlier in the week. All proceeds from ART WATCH benefit WBCA and a scholarship for the College of Visual Arts, St. Paul.

Thursday, July 12th: 10 AM - 10 PM

Friday, July 13th: 10 AM - 6 PM
Art studios open to the public to watch as over 50 local and professional artists create original works of art! FREE and family friendly.

Saturday, July 14th: 6 PM - 9:30 PM
Art Auction Gala (Tickets required-“blue jean/black tie”)
Studios will be transformed into a “Gala”ry for a magnificent silent and live auction of original Art Works created by artists throughout the week!

FEATURES: The July 14th Art Auction Gala features Music, hors d’oeuvres, open bar (wine/beer/soda/coffee), decadent desserts and live performance art will make the Art Auction Gala a night to remember!

WHERE: White Bear Center for the Arts, 2228-4th street (Armory Building), White Bear Lake, MN 55110

WHO: The mission of the White Bear Center for the Arts is to build creative and culturally rich communities in the White Bear area by providing arts experiences for children, adults, and families.

TICKETS: The public is invited to visit the open artists’ studios on Thursday & Friday at no charge. Tickets to the Saturday night Art Auction Gala are $35 for WBCA Members, $40 Non-members and $45 at the door for all ($30 is tax deductible as a charitable donation for WBCA). All proceeds from ART WATCH benefit the WBCA and a scholarship for the College of Visual Arts, St. Paul.
