White Bear Lake, MN - The WBCA is proud to sponsor the Annual High School Writers Contest giving high school students the opportunity to express their voices creatively and to be recognized for their efforts. Students in grades 9-12 in the White Bear and Mahtomedi school districts (as well as other students who live in these geographic areas) are invited to enter original writing in the following categories: poetry, essay, short story and one-act play. Submissions will be judged in two age categories: grades 9-10 and grades 11-12.

The deadline for submissions is March 15, 2007. Contest guidelines and entry form are available on the WBCA website www.whitebeararts.org.

An Award Ceremony & readings by the winners will be held on May 8, 2007 at the WBCA in the White Bear Armory.
