Roaring, flame-shooting furnaces in White Bear Lake to turn 1,000 pounds of recycled iron into art at the White Bear Lake ArtWalk & IRON POUR

The White Bear Center for the Arts (WBCA) invites the public downtown White Bear Lake behind Washington Square Bar & Grill on Saturday, September 30th for its third Iron Pour with Foundry Education and Fine Arts (FEFA) as they celebrate artwork by local artists and the eighth annual White Bear ArtWalk.

WHERE: Downtown White Bear Lake Parking lot behind Washington Square Bar & Grill, 4736 Washington Square, White Bear Lake, MN 55110

WHEN: Saturday, 4-8 p.m.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Lighting of the Furnaces: SATURDAY, approx. 4:30 p.m.

Furnace will crackle, roar, and shoot flames into the air at temperatures of 2700 degrees.

Molten iron will start flowing about 5:30 p.m.

The Dramatic Thunderboxes: SATURDAY at dusk, approx. 8:00 p.m.

Molten iron will be poured into THUNDERBOXES, named for the huge sounds produced as the hot iron meets wood, creating a 30-foot canopy of sparks and flames.
