White Bear Lake, MN
– Take a break from the heat this summer with cool art classes for children and teens. The White Bear Center for the Arts (WBCA) is offering fun and educational classes in clay, printmaking, cartooning, mosaics, mask-making, painting, storytelling, jewelry making, wearable art, creative writing and much, much more! Summer art classes run Tuesdays through Thursdays for eight weeks starting in June.

For the young actor in the family check out Create-A-Play an opportunity for students to create their own characters and bring them to life through stories, music and movement. Theater classes are offered in partnership with SteppingStone Theatre, the largest performing theatre for youth in the greater St. Paul area.

Paint outdoors like the old masters before photography was invented with “Lakeside Watercolor” (ages 7 & up), an ongoing weekly painting class on the shores of White Bear Lake. New this summer are classes designed especially for teens such as silver jewelry, clay pottery, and writing workshops with Minnesota Book Award winning author; John Caddy.

All Art Center instructors are experienced professionals in the field they are teaching. Classes are discounted for WBCA members. It pays to become a member!
