Healing Through Art

Learn how to use creative art projects to help you heal from personal challenges in health, care giving, or loss. Creativity can enhance your quality of life during or after any stressful experience. Take a few Sunday afternoons in a peaceful setting to care for your inner self.

Painting as a Healing Tool

Images have power to inform and influence us. Setting a healing intention to honor our inner sight allows an intuitive pathway to open. First, create an image of the issue (or illness), then create an image of yourself as completely whole. The class will allow time to share insights, which can provide support in dealing with health issues. No painting experience necessary.

Yoga Lab
Shaila Cunningham
A two-hour, all-level intensive yoga lab. Perfect for beginners looking to immerse themselves, as well as advanced students and fitness yogis looking to go deeper in the practice. This class will cover deep-tissue yin stretching, "California Core" series, asana practice (postures) and final relaxation. Pranayama (breathing techniques) will be taught throughout as a way to deepen core work and meditative aspects. Extra time at the end will be used for exploration of skeletal differences and how they impact various poses. Tea will be served and Q&A encouraged. Instructor Shaila Cunningham is a Yoga Alliance, Kripalu Certified (Stockbridge MA,) and continues her training in Santa Barbara, CA.
