We can help you host a great party, class or gathering for your group of 4 or more. Instructors in clay, ceramics, tie-dye, book- or papermaking, beads, mosaics, fiber arts and other disciplines are available to provide a special learning experience for adults or children. Call with questions or to book a date and time. How about a Night Out with your friends, or a great gathering of co-workers? We do it all!

Our instructors will assist your group (child or adult) in realizing their creativity or discovering hidden talents through creative art projects they can take home.

Customized classes are for adults and/or children age five or older. They are scheduled by reservation only and based on facility and instructor availability. Dates book-up fast so we encourage early sign-ups.

1. Choose Your Class Type:

A. Create-A-Class: Includes instructor and art supplies for your group (some classes have an additional material fee). Minimum group size is six and maximum is 15. The fee is $10 per person for members/$12 per person for non-members. Classes are two hours long - which can include time for refreshments or other activities. If you need additional facility time for games or other needs, the charge is $25 per each additional 30 minutes.

B. Custom Classes: Are you interested in one of our listed classes but it is at the wrong time? Want to get in-depth with a class? How about a class series (papermaking through printing or a sewing class, for example)? We can put together a class for any group of four persons or more. Class fees vary based on the length of the class. Call the Art Center to discuss this option.

C. Create Your Own Paint-A-Piece Night: Gather your friends for a fun night of ceramic painting. Great for showers, birthdays, or just a fun night out! A wide variety of ceramic bisque pieces such as pots, plates, sculptures, and a wide and varied selection of holiday pieces are available. Create your own work of art using stains, glazes and underglazes. Sandy will help you bring out your creative talent. No experience necessary, just a desire to have fun! Groups of four or more can come to the Art Center for a 2½ hour session for a fee of $18 per person for members/$20 per person for non-members, and a material fee ($4-$8 depending on the piece you select). 2. Work With Us To Design Your Class Subject (some samples below):

Bookmaking: Create small books for gifts or personal use. Learn simple binding and printing options in this class.

Printmaking: Monoprints, gyotaku (fish printing), and creating your own stamps are some of the possibilities in this fun look at the many ways to put words and pictures on paper.

Papermaking: Learn about the paper making process, creating your own mold and deckle and multiple sheets of fun custom paper. (Add a material fee of $3 per person.)

Tie Dye: All the fun without the mess at your house! Each participant will end up with a t-shirt and socks in a fabulous rainbow of colors. (Add a material fee of $4 per person and specify sizes for shirts and socks.)

Mosaics: Create a patio stone, coaster or picture frame and explore the ancient art of mosaic design. (Add a material fee of $4 per person).

"Junk" Art: We bring the materials, you bring the creativity - together we can create creatures, sculpture, or who-knows-what!

Famous Artists: Pick an artist and learn techniques based on his or her work. It's a great combination: art history and art making!!

The Other possibilities are endless: Sewing/Quilt making, Crayon Batik, Beads, Paint-a-Tile, Mask making, classes designed to fulfill requirements for a Scout badge or patch, and so forth.

3. Custom Class Registration: Click Here, Fill out and Submit your registration form and fee with three possible dates and times (or call the Art Center to check on open days). We will call you confirming all of the specific details of your custom class. Cancellations within 2-5 days will have all but $25 refunded. Sorry, we will not be able to offer a refund if you cancel within 24 hours. However, we will do our best to accommodate your needs in the event of illness or an emergency.
